Focusing On Your Strengths

Click here for a printable version.

Everyone has some degree of experience. You have something to bring to the table. The key to realizing your potential in business is to build on what you have. Find your strengths and utilize them and build on them.

I love computers. I've had a computer in my home since I was 9 years old. I'm dating myself, but that would be since the early 80s. By age 10 I was programming in "Basic" on my Apple Computer (A simple programming language). I used computers through school. After that I used them in various businesses I owned and participated in. I use them now all day, every day.

I've always used them. I'm good at working with Computers. It's a strength of mine. The problem is, however, that it took me over 20 years to realize that this is the strength that could make me happiest and realize my dreams... I didn’t make computers my focus as a business until recent years.

I have another strength... Sales. I've been a sales professional for years. I've always been in a sales environment. I've been through countless trainings, read many books on the subject and have attended numerous seminars in different industries. I'm well rounded in the sales area.

I have strength in the area of Motivation. I've read many, many books, listened to many tapes, and have become a, self-taught, self-help & motivational expert on top of it.

So with all those strengths combined with that ancient tool of trial & error, I found myself building websites on the internet and in the field of internet marketing.

Oh, and one more thing. I like to help people. I care about people. I enjoy helping people get what they need or want; this is a great contributor to my success.

I am living proof of what Ziglar once said:
If you help enough people get what they want,
you will get what you want. - Zig Ziglar

Enough about me, let’s get back to you. Find YOUR strengths. Write down them down. All of them: sports, writing, reading, management, numbers, goofing off, or whatever. The first step in helping yourself find success is making sure the path you on is the right path for YOU.
