It is so important to find something you enjoy if you want your success to be long term. You certainly don't want to do something just because everyone else is doing it. You choose what you do for a living. There is only one person to blame if you’re unhappy with what you’re doing.
You can pin some of the blame on others for misguiding you, but only you have the power to make sure you are on the right path; only you will know what you are doing is the right thing for YOU.
If you enjoy floppy eared rabbits then become the internet’s floppy eared rabbit guru. Focus on that market. Strategize around that idea. Design your products and go! Of course, you have to find that market. And there are not guarantees that you will make a lot of money in that market, but you get the idea here... You will stand a better chance of success if you are doing YOUR thing.
Now you may say, "There are thousands of people that are doing what I enjoy. The markets saturated! How am I going to find opportunity with so much competition?"
Luckily you are on the internet. You can do something everyone else is doing, but because of the enormous market, you can still find your small niche. Do something others aren't doing with your product or idea; be creative. Besides, there may be a turn over. Stay for a while and you will begin to dominate in the place of others... Slowly build your name and a loyal customer base.

Take what you enjoy, find your market niche, and you’ll love getting up in the morning, working every day and you will find yourself arriving at your destination much faster.
